This year’s Society Jam benefit concert, to be held Sep 25th at Les Myers Park in Concord, will feature a South African safari valued at $3,800 in our silent auction. This same package goes for about $3,000 at other charity auctions I have attended. Last year, it sold for much less during our silent auction. Come prepared to make a bid and enjoy the trip of a lifetime! I work with a CPA who purchased this package and traveled there this year. He said it was indescribable.

Society Jam 2010 will be held at Les Myers Park in Concord, NC on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 1pm – 8pm. Admission is free.

Society Jam 2009 was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who showed up. We will definitely do this again next year and probably at about the same time of year. We’ll post some pictures soon.

We are proud to announce that Philippine Aid Society will be hosting a silent auction during Society Jam 2009 which will feature an incredible 6 days and 6 nights African Safari!
This package includes:
- Luxury accommodation at Zulu Nyala Luxury Hemmingway Tented Safari Camp or Heritage Safari Lodge or Game Lodge situated in the heart of South Africa’s Zululand conservation region – one of the richest conservation regions in Africa.
- Full board, that is three delicious meals per day, prepared by the finest international chefs – with an African flavor of course.
- Two game viewing activities per day guided by professional game rangers in open game viewing vehicles.
There will be no minimum bid and no reserve for this incredible package, but you must be present to bid.

The event runs from 11am – 11pm and in addition to the acts above, it will feature a magician, dj music, a karaoke contest, face painting and more. The entire event is family friendly so bring the kids along and we’ll see you there!
We’ve just confirmed the time and date with the city of Harrisburg. We’ll be hosting the event on June 13, 2009 and the time will be from 11 AM – 11 PM.
Here’s what we have planned so far:
- Ten different artists
- An all day karaoke contest with prizes
- A street magician
- Authentic Filipino cuisine
- A bounce-house and play ground will be available for kids
- Face painting
- Organized games with prizes
- A raffle with prizes
- Various vendors
- A DJ
